All-Weather Green Sketching
Adult outdoor drawing workshop
East Lothian Flower Farm, Lennoxlove Estate
First Saturday of the Month, April - October
Come join us for a relaxed outdoor drawing class set within the grounds of East Lothian Flower Farm. Green Sketching is a new approach to drawing (founded by Dr Ali Foxon*) the aim of which is to use drawing as a tool to see nature anew, to relish in the small details and create a deeper connection and appreciation of our surroundings.
This is a confidence boosting approach to drawing and although the class is aimed towards beginners, those with experience are more than welcome to come along and experiment. We will explore and play with different materials, surfaces and sketching techniques with an emphasis on playful process rather than one end resulting artwork.
The classes will run during the growing season at ELFF from April through to October. These classes have been a wonderful way to slow down and enjoy the changing colours and flowers of the seasons - from anemones in the early spring right through to dahlias which can last until the first frost of the year.
All drawing materials will be provided for and there will be some home baked goods and hot drinks to enjoy.
Please note that the workshop will run whatever the weather so please do come well prepared for a typical Scottish day of four seasons in one!
To book tickets please go to the East Lothian Flower Farm online portal HERE
